Our Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a treatment approach that helps you recognize negative or unhelpful thought and behavior patterns. Many experts consider it to be the gold standard of psychotherapy. CBT aims to help you identify and explore the ways your emotions and thoughts can affect your actions.

Depression & Anxiety

Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover the motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.

Anger Management

a psychotherapeutic process or program for controlling anger and preventing its destructive manifestations: Without anger management, your outbursts of hostility may eventually have catastrophic consequences.

Stress Reduction, Mindfulness & Relaxation Techniques

Relaxation techniques are practices to help bring about the body's “relaxation response,” which is characterized by slower breathing, lower blood pressure, and a reduced heart rate. The relaxation response is the opposite of the stress response.

Communication Techniques

Counseling can be beneficial to couples and families who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship.

Attentional Issues

Work within your own strengths to develop strategies addressing attentional struggles and focus to help within all settings such as home, school, college courses, and social situations.

Functional Analysis and Behavioral Management Plans

Functional analysis is, essentially, breaking down a whole into parts and targeting the part that needs to change in order to end a maladaptive behavior (Ferster, n.d.). Functional analysis of behavior is an experimental way to assess the cause of a particular behavior.

Trauma & PTSD

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.

Divorce Support

We provide support services for adults going through a separation or pending divorce or who are continuing to struggle with issues stemming from this major life change. Providing therapeutic support also helps children to adjust to this major life change and process their own emotions throughout.

School Support

Many issues stemming from within the school setting can be supported through therapy. Behavioral concerns, school avoidance, separation anxiety, peer interactions, academic stress, motivational issues, and many others can be addressed in safe supportive therapy sessions. Our therapists also provide consultative services with school staff upon your request and with written consent.
